Thanks for sharing. It actually scares me a bit for when I want to have children, but it sounds like strength training and yoga is helpful. Good luck on your road to recovery. My last gym didn't have pilates, but maybe my next one will. Or I'll get a DVD. Good luck with the sleeping! I can e-mail you the info on sleep hygiene that I collected from working with a sleep doctor in college. Let me know if you think it would help.Sarah S.http://runningonwordsblog.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715235341995717590.post-43333729964917249602012-04-30T16:58:20.991-06:002012-04-30T16:58:20.991-06:00I enjoyed reading this. Steve and I were just musing, while in Pagosa recently (the place we stayed in had what we think was a Pilates studio nearby), that it might be beneficial to check into something like Pilates to help keep our aging bodies well-rounded, training-wise. Hearing about Tara and Jessica's experiences were great. Looking forward to part two!Happytrails88noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715235341995717590.post-91838258607273128602012-04-30T14:35:13.855-06:002012-04-30T14:35:13.855-06:00So interesting to read. Mine thankfully has got better, but I did have several trips to the chiropractor and several bad incidences of back spasms. Nothing for about a year now. Hoping it stays that way too!Christyrunshttp://christyruns.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715235341995717590.post-76123313900757044632012-04-30T14:14:33.742-06:002012-04-30T14:14:33.742-06:00I feel your pain...I've been feeling very left...I feel your pain...I've been feeling very left out watching all my friends racing on facebook, and I'm not even injured! Now, I may do a little bit of bitching every now and then but....lol!

Thanks for including me in this. I hope you get your back issues straightened out soon and get back to running some amazing PRs. :)

Also, good luck with your insomnia (last post). I too, need between 8-11 hours of sleep in order to function (or I tend to bitch about lack of sleep). My husband and I are in bed every night by 9:30 and then are up by 5 or 6 the next day, so I usually get ample sleep. I know all hell will break loose once the baby is born. Jill are you ready to hear me bitching at the pool?!?!?! It took forever to figure out what was wrong and about 2 years of no real running for it to get resolved. NOT FUN! Eventually after many doctors telling me to quit running (didn't listen!) I was finally able to run. The key was cross-training and weight lifting. I have had no flare-ups since and I continue to run today. Of course, I have other stupid injuries but not my back!!!!Christinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715235341995717590.post-1266046337020421602012-04-30T13:43:55.388-06:002012-04-30T13:43:55.388-06:00I had a similar night! Let's hope for better tonight!
I love that you included Tara and Jessica's stories... it was a good reminder to pay attention to strength training, and to how I carry L around.Laurahttp://mommyrunfast.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715235341995717590.post-67733973944814432432012-04-30T13:13:31.733-06:002012-04-30T13:13:31.733-06:00So much goes into healthy running, I swear it take...So much goes into healthy running, I swear it takes a freaking village.
